he basic demand that has to satisfy every made conductor connection is that it mustn't bring in any weakness in cable system. Crimped connections mustn't:

  • Be over warmed;
  • Provoke excessive increase of voltage drop;

Energetic cables will work in distributive network in which the highest power voltage is: 12 kV in the network of rated voltage 10kV, 38 kV in the network of rated voltage 35 kV

Material that is used for producing connective joints can be aluminum (Al 99,5%”) or electrolytic copper (EdCu).

Contact surfaces of conductor must be covered with contact grease in order to make better contact. If the contact surfaces aren't cut across, it is not necessary to remove oxide layer on the end of aluminum conductor that is being crimped.

All lugs and compression joints must be protected on the surface with zinc galvanization, tin-plated and nickel-plated.

The equipment and material must be in keeping with valid ISO standards and recommendations, SRPS and IEC standards:

  • DIN 46235 Cable lugs; for compression connections, cover plate type, for copper conductors

The way of connection realization can be:

  • With pressure that is achieved with crimping (circle, six-sided, deep imprinted etc.),
  • With pressure that is achieved with the screw.

Compression joint is a metal element that is used for extension of energetic cable conductor.

Cable lug is a metal element that is used for connection of energetic cable conductor on machine connections or mutual.

Bimetal connection is connection made of two different metals and it is used to connect installed parts that are made of the same materials.
